The Production
Scheduler sits on top of the production model and “learns” about
the process by running alternative schedules and work flow
sequences
within departments and across
the entire plant. Using both user-defined and system developed
knowledge tables the scheduler then synchronizes production across
all plant operations to create an optimal schedule. The system

The system employs a unique two-phased planning and scheduling
approach. The first ensures that materials and sub-assemblies
are planned within the correct timeframe across plant operations
to meet overall production objectives. The second phase generates
detailed sequenced job lists for all machines and process within
the plant to satisfy local and global operating rules using the
production model to ensure feasible and efficient results.
Linking the SIMUL8-Planner to your ERP and shop-floor data collection
systems allows for automatic system update and an Adaptive scheduling
capability. The timely acquisition of relevant order and production
data ensures that schedules are generated with the full knowledge
of current requirements and shop-floor status.
SIMUL8-Planner is fast producing plant-wide schedules in a matter
of minutes. Deployed as a client-server application Viewers are
provided to give access to the system and current schedules by
